  • Storm surge hazard map for the U.S. East Coast

    The first version of this basic demo-application is described in a blog post and was built on infrastructure of a cloud provider. The current version is hosted on a bare metal server and is (very rarely) maintained for learning and testing purposes.
  • Interactive inertial oscillations on a rotating table

    An interactive javascript animation imitating an experimental setup for studying inertial oscillations. Source code (legacy) .

  • Slidenc NetCDF viewer

    A simple GUI app for viewing NetCDF files. The code on github is broken and poorly programmed, but it still shows how easy it is for beginners to write simple visualization tools with a GUI in Python. I have been using modified versions of this for more than a decade now.
